As an instrumentation developer since 1974 I've built many different and diverse systems. Some of the more significant projects have been a USB conference telephone, a senior emergency pendant/DECT 6.0 based telephone, the ATSC standards verification test system for HDTV at the Advanced TV Test Center, the dial modem, development time, test system for Motorola/Codex, various manufacturing time digital camera testers at Polaroid, many optical, LASER and LED based products, using both fiber optic and lens based optics, the Tellabs 7100 DWDM fiber optic router transponder test system, a blood management unit for Haemonetics, various spectrometers and hyperspectral imaging, a PCR-CE machine, and various medical devices, the Engine Interface Unit for a C130 transport at Ametek, Mil Spec 1553 for the Dreamchaser civilian space shuttle and electric vehicle conversion inverters. In addition I've done industrial controls and PLC work for an industrial wastewater treatment plant, medical device testing, animal and human clinical psychology testing, automotive filter testing, materials science testing, MEMS testing, satellite radio temperature compensation, battery testing and teaching. I am proficient in LabVIEW, C/C++. VB6, and VB.NET. Many of my projects have made considerable use of ADO/.NET & SQL Server and I've developed systems for databases from within LabVIEW and VB6/.NET. I've built systems using motion control and digital imaging. I'm also proficient in Web development and can use HTML and ASP/.NET for publishing documentation, test reports and SPC analysis. I am a Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) and a member of the National Instruments Alliance program. LabVIEW based systems have been 90% of my work since its inception in 1986.
