Gefit was founded in 1967 and is currently owned by the second generation of its founding family. Headquartered in Italy, the company has production subsidiaries in the U.S., China, Hungary, and Italy, and is opening a subsidiary in Mexico in 2022. It also has a sales office in Russia, where it has done business since 1975. Gefit has two divisions: The Industrial Automation Division supplies production systems to the automotive, e-Mobility, mechatronics, electronics, and appliance industries. The Molds & Assembly Division delivers high-cavitation injection molds and high-speed assembly systems to customers in the food & beverage, personal care, cosmetics, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. Gefit's Industrial Automation solutions are typically rich in robotics and address applications such as brake calipers, suspensions, battery packs, and compressors. Molds & Assembly solutions focus on high-volume products such as caps, closures, and single-use medical devices. These solutions are configured on various standard platforms that employ continuous motion technology, synchronous indexing technology, and combinations of the two.
