Midwest Automation is a multi-faceted operation involved in process control and factory automation, with over 60 employees, including sales, systems engineering and technical support group, service department, and a manufacturing operation for fabrication of specialty electronic control consoles. Midwest Automation's St. Louis sales and manufacturing headquarters is located in a modern company-owned 18,000 square foot facility located in West St. Louis County. Midwest Automation has completed approximately 500 projects ranging in size from a few thousand dollars to several million. These projects included applications engineering, drafting (AutoCAD), material requisitions, panel fabrication, programming, start-up, and training. Midwest Automation's technical support group has completed numerous projects which included hardware/software procurement, system configuration, programming, and field check-out. Midwest Automation's service group has numerous maintenance contracts and also provides start-up services for the systems projects. To support this operation, the firm maintains a repair and calibration laboratory and carries a large inventory of commonly used parts. The firm's in-house manufacturing operation allows for close supervision and coordination between the systems and manufacturing personnel and expedited check-out by the service department. Projects completed include the design and manufacture of numerous instrument cabinents, large multi-function computer consoles, and specialty fiberglass house or skid mounted systems.
