Distrisort Inc. started its activities in 2001 as an integrator of split tray, tilt tray sorters, pusher sorters, and cross-belt sorters. DSI offers a wide experience and excellent competence in complete sorting solutions for single items in products such as books, garments, music and multimedia, shoes, small parcels, flyers, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. DSI's control systems are developed in house and control all aspects of the sorting system, including the sorter, scanners, induction belts, supply and dispatch conveyors, and special machines. Their DistriSoft software consists of standard modules which are easy to expand on and customize. Examples of special machines that are integrated into DSI systems are de-stackers, dividers, labelling machines, in-motion weighing, tapers, and strapping devices. DSI has highly motivated, skilled technicians and software engineers who are responsible for a smooth and well-oiled project organization. So far, DSI has installed sorting systems in the book, music/multimedia, garment, mail order, and postal industries.
