Cadillac Electric and Automation realizes that no one knows more about their customers' business, production processes, and machines than their clients. The company strives to complement the customer's on-site technical and maintenance staff, adding to their capabilities on an efficient, as-needed basis. For jobs completed to date, the company has acted as the SCADA, programmable controller, or drives specialist, creating and debugging programs and networks while the customer's electrical and maintenance staff completed much of the wiring and mechanical work. Many of these projects were initiated to address the customer's need to add capabilities to existing production lines which increase safety, improve the quality of the items being made, and document that each part has been manufactured to the end user's specification. The engineering services group has completed projects involving PLC programming, bar code printing and reading, end of line testing machines, servo and vector drive configuration, SCADA software and data logging, QS 9000 data collection, vision systems, operator interface, control panel design, system debug and startup, networking to the front office, and troubleshooting and service calls.
