The automation engineering department of WorleyParsons Canada West. has a staff of 150 technicians, technologists, and Professional Engineers located in Edmonton and Calgary Alberta. Globally, WorleyParsons has over 1,100 people in Automation (Instrumentation, Controls, and Telecommunications. They have experience in a great variety of process and utility industries around the world. They are proficient with equipment from all major vendors of DCS, PLC, SIS, and SCADA hardware and software. Industry specialists are available to develop P&IDs and control strategies; control system network architecture; and field instrumentation selection for oil and gas production, including heavy crude and tar sands, pipelines, refineries, gas plants, and plastics production as well as associated facilities such as water treatment, steam and power production, and other industries. Typical project scope includes any or all of conceptual design, estimate preparation, detailed design, purchasing, panel fabrication, integrated system testing, and facility commissioning and startup.
