Sierra Control Systems, Inc. was incorporated in 1972. The company's primary goal was to provide remote level monitoring of open water systems for the industrial water industry. To achieve this initial goal, Sierra Control Systems, Inc. pioneered techniques that resulted in systems capable of highly accurate water level measurement in open channels. These successful designs lead the company to develop water control systems for hydropower generation, domestic water systems, irrigation systems, and industrial treatment plants. Today, Sierra Control Systems, Inc. continues to be a leader in the water measurement and control industry as a system integrator and manufacturer of specialized water measurement products. Most of the customer base is in the Western United States, although Sierra Control Systems, Inc. has provided systems in several Eastern states as well.
