The team members of Interlynx have been responsible for designing, programming, and manufacturing many different systems, including programming, automation, and design of interface panels for a design-build project involving eight pump stations in Jefferson Parish. The company's engineers were responsible for the programming of the programmable logic controllers and operator interface terminals (OIT). The Interlynx team was also responsible for determining methods of interface to existing control panels to enable control and interconnection to newly added PLC-based panels. They also configured, animated, and programmed OIT stations to illustrate the full process of operation, monitoring, and control purposes for the station operators. They interviewed the station operators and incorporated various logic derived from suggestions and requests into the programs and OIT displays. Throughout the project, they reviewed existing control panel drawings and control panel wiring to determine the best and most economical method of interface to enable control from the new PLC panels. They also modified the new PLC panels to incorporate additional controls, device interconnection, and PLC modules as required by change orders due to an expanded scope of work on this project.
